RIP IT, RIP IT, RIP IT...

Well, about 3 days ago, I started a new sweater-"Pioneer" from Knitty spring. There have been many on Ravelry who have made it. I have started this damn sweater at least 5 times!!! Either my count has been off, my stitches have been wrong, and other reasons which I can't figure out. I'v been knitting for 5 years and I've never been so stumped by a project!! I'm so angry at myself. It doesn't appear to be difficult. Those on Ravelry have been cranking them out!! What the hell is my problem? Maybe I should just just let it go and start something else, but I know it'll keep eating at me!!!  What's a frustrated knitter to do??

Today, alittle baking to put me in a better mood. I'm not sure why, but I've been having a hard time lately trying to keep my chin up. My Mom always said, "if your having a bad day, bake something-it will make you feel better". I wouldn't want to dissapoint her by not following her advice!! Sooooo... here they are:

OOOOOOH SHE'S BEEN A BAAAD GIRL!

Well, Mom, if your reading this post, I'm sure I'll never hear the end of it!! For the rest of you, I had sooo much fun shopping for knitting stuff!! I got a new book, " Knit One Below", some Lantern Moon needles, 2 circ needles, some beauutiful Malabrigo DK weight yarn in "Verdes" colorway, some "Gretchen" handspun yarn in pretty shades of blue, and some mohair/wool blend yarn from Koenig Farm Spinnery and Yarn Shop in "Thistle" colorway. I had a frequent buyers card from a yarn shop that was pretty much filled up and I filled it and got $25.00 free stuff!! FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!

APRIL-finally!

Well, I hope were all finished with Winter's weather! The last couple of days have been beautiful! I've been sitting on my deck, knitting and listening to podcasts on my Ipod. I love listening to the "Stash and Burn" pods.I've been trying to get a project done that was laying around for wayyyy to loooong! Its one of the 6 ft. long Noro scarves. I am THE worlds slowest knitter, so Hopefully I'll have it ready for NEXT winter!! If I can stand looking at it any longer!!

NEW START

Well, I'm starting...again! Learning how to put this blog together hasn't been the easiest for me. I'm pretty much an idiot as far as all of this goes. Oh, I don't have a problem with lurking in other blogs. I've been doing that for several years now.

As far as knitting, I just finished making 3 birdies for Lucinda, a special lady who lost her baby son, Cooper recently. You will have to visit her blog to check out her wonderful plan for the "birdies". I have included a picture of her lastest birdies that flew in. I think she may have received my 3 today.
